SURF BEACHES IN COSTA RICA

With a great influence of the “surf art” genre which mixes surreal, psychedelic, comic and illustration to express the surf lifestyle, Mao takes it to xylography, with a direct reference to the surfing beaches in Costa Rica. Etching in different kinds of woods, he goes to a more “fine art” format by using more subtle tones and ensuring the use of high-quality materials in order to preserve the pieces.
